29.11.13 Friday Pool change.
The pool men arrived before 8am,
which was a surprise, and started to pump the water from the pool out into the
street. Surprising amount of water!,
running down the road and turning everything to mud. I went across to apologise to our neighbour,
but he just said that it was not as bad as the rainy season and would soon dry
up, which of course it did as we still have the lovely sunshine. Kebba was at home today to lend a
hand with directing the water flow as only the oven remains to be done at Naata
and Sanaba is handling that job. The
pool was emptied, mopped out and then a water tanker arrived with the new
water, clean and fresh, it took three hours to fill with two tankers, and then we
are topping up from our well slowly, about a foot, an hour at a time so we don't collapse the borehole. Eileen called
round in the afternoon, first time we have seen her since we arrived, and we
had a pleasant afternoon sat by the now clean pool, catching up on recent
events. At 7pm we
set off to the Courtyard for their Friday buffet where we met Jean and spent the
evening together listening to the 60s/70s DJ and the local duo singing reggae style.
